PROFESSOR OLADOSU OJENGBEDE
Professor Oladosu Ojengbede is the Co-Chair of the Board of The DIHYA Foundation. Professor Ojengbede is the Director of the Center for Population and Reproductive Health (A Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation affiliated with the University of Ibadan through Johns Hopkins) and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria. He is a FIGO Fistula Surgeon master trainer and the past president of the International Society of Obstetric Fistula Surgeons. He is the current chairperson of the Nigerian Obstetric Fistula Technical Working Group.
He received his Bachelors of Medical Science degree (Anatomy) in 1972 and his MBBS in 1974. A consultant of Obstetrics and Gynaecologist, Prof. Ojengbede has a Certificate of Strategic Leadership and Management for Health from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore USA. He is also a consultant to the Johns Hopkins Programme for International Education in Gynaecology and Obstetrics; Director of STD Training Programme, University of Ibadan; Director of WHO Collaborating Centre in Research and Research Training in Human reproduction; and the Chairman of Chief ‘Bode Amoo Foundation that has awarded scholarships to students across all disciplines in different parts of Nigeria.

WHITNEY OWOLABI
From her early days in Nigeria to her endeavors in the USA and Canada, Whitney‘s commitment to community and advocacy has always been evident. As the Co-founder and Co-chair of the Board of The DIHYA Foundation, her roots in Nigeria shaped her early commitment to volunteering and championing causes close to her heart. This passion intensified during her time in Arizona for grad school, where she founded the African Caribbean Student Association (ACSA). ACSA’s mission to support international students and foster collaboration among state associations highlighted Whitney‘s natural ability to bridge gaps and create inclusive spaces.
Upon relocating to Canada, Whitney seamlessly transitioned her dedication to community service. From actively participating in fund development committees on the boards of the Calgary Regional Immigrant Employment Council (CRIEC) and the Centre for Sexuality (CFS) to spearheading fundraising for Community Futures Treaty 7 (a First Nations Non-profit organization) Whitney’s dedication to community shines. Whitney‘s pre-Law dissertation on women’s rights in Nigeria, emphasizes her commitment to championing equality and justice. Her instrumental role in ensuring an inclusive voter turnout for the successful election of the first black bencher into the Law Society of Alberta’s board cements her reputation as a strategic leader with a deep-rooted passion for representation and inclusion.
While getting her MBA, Whitney worked at the corporate offices of Best Western International taking on client interfacing roles critical to ensuring high customer satisfaction. Upon graduation, she moved to the Vanguard Group, the second-largest investment firm in the world. She started her Canadian career with TC Energy (formerly known as TransCanada- one of the top North American Oil and Gas companies). Whitney is now a consultant at MNP, one of the largest accounting, finance, and technology consulting firms in Canada.
LOLA IBITOYE
Lola is the current Executive Director and Co-founder of The DIHYA Foundation. Her responsibilities are grant management, marketing and communications for the organization.
She was regional vice president of external relations at AIESEC, an international non-profit organization focused mainly on youth cultural integration (international students traveling to countries all around the world for internship programs). She had previously done strategic fundraising and program management for this organization before stepping into the role of VP.
She started her career in insurance where she built a solid foundation in sales and marketing and is now a product support manager in the logistics industry.
Since becoming the Executive Director of Dihya Foundation, Lola has volunteered in religious organisations, hospitals and has participated in other community welfare initiatives. Volunteering reminds Lola of the importance of being a part of and giving back to the community.
Originally from Ogun State in Nigeria, Lola has lived and worked in other African countries as a volunteer. She earned a B.sc degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta and is presently working on her Master’s degree in Business Administration.
TOYIN ANIAGWU
Her public health training has exposed her to health policy and management which combines policy, business, and science to determine the effective delivery of occupational health and public health services. The public health knowledge and skills gained has been put to good use in education, development of healthy lifestyles strategies, workplace wellbeing and safety, research and program implementation and equity as an agent for disease prevention and health promotion. Her public health interests are health promotion, occupational health and safety including risk assessment and management, non-communicable diseases (e.g. cancer) prevention and control.
She excels at leadership, problem solving, interpersonal management and organisational skills.
ENIOLA BAMGBOYE
He has collaborated with both local and international, governmental and Non governmental organizations in areas of public health research including sexual and reproductive health of women in Africa. A methodology expert with over 10 years consultancy experience in collaboration with various NGOs and the Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) on various grants, he has been involved in both quantitative and qualitative research at sub-national and national levels. He is well published in both local and international peer reviewed journals.
ADEOLA OLAITAN
Deola attended Yaba College of Technology staff School after which she proceeded to Queen’s College Yaba Lagos for her Certificate Exam. She completed her Law degree at Babcock University Ilishan Remo, Ogun State. She is currently a partner at Gray Fonterra LLP, an emerging law firm that specializes but is not limited to land transactions and company secretariat-ship
She joined The DIHYA Foundation as the Foundation secretary and she oversees the administration and program management. In addition to professional interests, Adeola enjoys being an active champion for human rights across Africa
